My love of photography is rooted in cherishing family heirlooms and honoring traditions.
While I was growing up, I poured over my mother’s albums, which were filled with photos and journal entries documenting our family’s adventures. The photos were not posed, nor were they perfect, but they are treasured because they candidly reveal heart and emotion. I still revisit them often, and now I have the distinct honor of creating my own for my family and my clients.
I treasure hikes with my husband and children as we explore our beloved Rock Hall, Maryland (Learn how we gave up the suburban dream and moved to a small fishing village on the Eastern Shore). I come alive as I watch my family collect sea glass and oyster shells by the bay. I adore mixing up batches of chocolate chip cookies with my daughter and son, though sometimes we simply enjoy eating the dough. I feel compelled to capture these moments and more, yet I also remind myself to live within them without my camera in hand.
I believe in documenting your story - the story that is uniquely imperfect yet perfectly yours because it is filled with life and love and small moments.
Those small moments are truly the ones that matter most. I want to document your daughter jumping through the waves in the ocean at your favorite beach under the summer sun. I want to freeze time as your son picks strawberries from a pick-your-own farm just like you did when you were his age. I want to chronicle your Saturday traditions and how your family laughs together. I want to document these moments that are meaningful to you because they are the same moments that are meaningful to me too.
I cannot wait to observe and record the story of your real life as you live the moments and traditions to tell for generations.
Let’s write your story together.
