I had an idea a couple of weekends ago and, because of this idea, I had the chance to meet and photograph this beautiful family. Today, I'm quite thankful for that moment of inspiration.
My photography brings me in touch with such amazing people who are living their own very unique stories. These families welcome me in, and show me a glimpse of their own version of love, joy, and fun they share together. I get to sit back with my camera, and record and tell their story. That's my goal with every session.
Rock Hall, on Maryland's Eastern Shore, is a small waterfront town on the Chesapeake Bay with a population under 1500. But, if my facts are correct, the town is home to just as many boat slips. It's no wonder. With its location on the bay, sheltered marinas, and deep water access, Rock Hall is a popular home port and destination for boaters.
Every where you turn in and around Rock Hall, families are living up their summers, and spending it on the Chesapeake Bay. Every year, they take full advantage of all the bay has to offer.
This is where my idea came in. Every time they go out on their boats, they're slowing down and spending undivided, quality time with their loved ones. They're making amazing memories together in one of the most beautiful environments, the Chesapeake Bay.
These moments are begging to be documented, to be savored for years and generations to come.
When it came to my idea, this family was all in. They welcomed me on their gorgeous sailboat, and momentarily into their lives, with open arms.
In so many ways, it was the most beautiful sunset cruise.
Do you love the idea of having your summers on the water photographed so you, your children, and grandchildren can relive these special moments and cherish them for years to come? Check out my session information page to find out what it would be like to work with me.
