I love getting to know kids and their families through my family photography sessions. I met the youngest girl pictured here a couple of years ago through my son's Little Creek Preschool class at Radcliffe Creek School. I knew her as my son's outgoing and dynamic classmate.
Her mother recently reached out to me for family pictures, giving me the chance to get to know her equally outgoing and dynamic older daughter.
If you've known me for any length of time, you know how important I think it is to include your children's grandparents in your photo shoots.
That's why I did a happy dance when she told me she wanted to also include her dad in the photos.
Her father has been a big part of her girls' lives, especially after her mother passed away, and the three of them have a special bond.
They love to spend afternoons at Unicorn Lake, located south of Millington in Kent and Queen Anne's counties. Sometimes they fish while they're there. They always play in the water.
A recent health scare got her thinking more about what kinds of memories her girls will be able to keep of their grandfather and the things they do together.
She told me she takes millions of phone pictures of them, but she wanted something really special to save for them for these most precious of memories.
Her wish was to capture the love of nature the three of them share and for them to have these memories recorded for when they get older.
Thanks to their mother, these girls will always have tangible proof of their special bond with their grandfather.
They will have these photographs of their grandfather's legacy that can be passed down for generations. Contact me if you wish to record your family's most precious memories.
