Somewhere along the line, visits from Mom-Mom have become synonymous with dinner at Pizza Hut, a visit to the library, and a shopping trip to the Dollar Tree.
About once a month, my mom comes down to see us and this has become part of the tradition. She takes them off our hands for a few hours, leaving the house peaceful and quiet, while the three of them spend quality time together.
During her most recent visit, I met them at the Dollar Tree with my camera. On the surface, these trips may seem so ordinary and not pretty enough to photograph (hello fluorescent Dollar Tree lighting). But I know when all is said and done, these trips will be among their fondest memories from their childhood.
Quality time with loved ones need not be elaborate and neither do your photography sessions.
My goal isn't to take pretty pictures but to take photographs that take us back to sweet moments otherwise long gone.
Do your children and grandchildren have photos to remember their experiences with you?
You may not like having your photo taken, but they'll be thankful for this gift. There's no question about that.
I'll create photographs for you that speak louder than words and truly take you back to your sweetest moments with your loved ones.
Like these photos of two grandkids spending time at their Gigi and Pa's riverside home in Annapolis, Maryland (much more picturesque than the Dollar Tree, I must say!)
